2019: SANGREE: PORTFOLIO

SANGREE is an artistic collaboration between René Godínez Pozas and Carlos Lara. Their most recent projects intertwine the past with the present through exercises that casually play with different historical times, altering and blurring the indexes we use to recognize the temporal origins of the pieces. The creation of a lapse and confusion, of a moment of uncertainty when facing the work, is a strategy that characterizes the processes of the collective.

SANGREE has held individual exhibitions in Mexico at institutions such as the Museo Universitario del Chopo and the Sala de Arte Público Siqueiros; and at contemporary art spaces including Yautepec Gallery and Biquini Wax. They have also completed various solo site-specific projects abroad at the BlackCube Nomadic Museum in Denver, BBQLA in Los Angeles, and Et al.etc. Gallery in San Francisco
